  • L1: Ethereum mainnet
  • L2: Aztec, the privacy-preserving rollup settling on Ethereum
  • Proof of Clean Hands (PoCH): Off-chain identity verification flow issuing on-chain Clean Hands SBT after government ID check, liveness scan, and sanctions screening
  • SBT (Soulbound Token): Non-transferable on-chain credential bound to a specific wallet
  • Clean token: Token (cUSDC, cDAI, etc.) entering Aztec’s private layer through Shield, indicating an identity-screened holder
  • Attestation: Signed message from bridge attester confirming user passed identity verification and sanctions screening for a specific deposit or exit
  • Proof of Innocence (PoI): Per-deposit sanctions screening via sanctions.io at attestation issuance
  • Nonce: Single-use identifier on attestations preventing captured attestation replay
